  1. Thanks for checking out my page. If you’re an agent I’m looking for you. I am currently seeking a literary agent for my novel, “The Elephant Gate,” and wonder if you would be interested in looking at it.
“The Elephant Gate” is based on the true tale of Siam, an Asian elephant captured in the wild in 1921. After a confusing series of “relocations,” Siam ends up in the Berlin zoo in 1933, and through his eyes, we witness the rise of Hitler, the beginning of the Holocaust, and the Second World War. Despite the hardships he and his fellow zoo elephants are forced to endure, Siam tries hard to maintain his faith and to keep intact the strange, ancient, mystical culture of the Elephants. But when the war finally comes to Berlin, Siam finds it difficult to not only comprehend the violence and suffering around him, but also to understand why he and his tribe should be confined to a zoo in the first place.

    • Hey, Shane…I checked out the site and will be submitting! I’ve got a drawer full of stuff that’s never been published and really appreciate you contacting me. Seems like I was getting one, two even three stories a year published by Alyson but that seems to have dried up. Don’t know what happened there…don’t even get e-mailed by them regarding calls for submissions anymore. Anyway, onward and upward, right? It’s a really busy week for me but I’ll try to get some material together by the weekend. Thanks again and I look forward to working with you!
      Peace,
      Curtis

    • Hello, Ellie, and I apologize for the slow response. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find a publisher interested in my story. I have considered self-publication but have, thus far, been too proud to do so. I’m not giving up on my story, however, and will let you know when it goes to print.
Thanks very much for your interest!
